Not a day goes by that I don’t want to take my cat on my run with me. Ok, not in the literal sense… come on, people. I’m not some crazy cat lady (cough, cough). What I mean is, it’s hard to leave that pretty little face every morning when I run out the door to log some miles!
Select Add New to scroll through additional pre-loaded watch faces. Select Apply to activate a pre-loaded watch face or an installed Connect IQ watch face. If using a pre-loaded watch face, select Customize. Select an option: To change the style of the numbers for the analog watch face, select Dial.
Garmin Photo Watch Face Protection
Well, the good news is, I don’t need to leave that pretty little face behind ever again.
That’s right. You, too, can eliminate your own separation anxiety by putting the face of your sweet kitty (or puppy, or baby, or bff) on your Garmin, for you to gaze at whenever you want to along your run. Garmin has come out with a free app that you can download to your smart phone that allows you to do just that – upload any photo and it displays on the face of your Garmin watch.
- The Face-It watch face app lets you customize your watch face with any photo from your mobile device. Download the app, choose an image from your photo library, add the time and set it as your watch’s face. Whether it’s a scenic view from your last hike or a picture of your new puppy, the Face-It app lets you add personality to your watch that’s uniquely you.
- Problem is, I already have a nice watch! So, I want my Garmin to look like a step-counter instead of a watch. I've scoured the ConnectIQ store looking for a watch face that emphasizes steps instead of the time. Watch Face Builder to the rescue! I LOVE being able to choose what I want to have on my watch face.
First things first – download the “Garmin Face-It” app for free through iTunes or Google Play. Through the Garmin Connect Mobile app (which you must have already downloaded to your smart device), you access the Garmin Face-It App. Then you can get creative, even uploading a library of options so you can change the face of your watch whenever you’d like.
